Dr. P.M. Shah is a board-certified cardiologist who brings more than 30 years of experience to Cary Cardiology. Since 1981, he has been a physician with Cary Cardiology, and has served on WakeMed's Invasive Cardiology Committee as well as ECG, ECHO and Non-Invasive Committees. Since 1991, he has been the physician-in-charge for the Intensive Care Unit at WakeMed Cary Hospital, where he also has chaired the Cardiovascular Committee since 2009.
Dr. Shah completed his studies at Baroda Medical College, M.S. University, in India, and his residency and cardiology fellowship at Hackensack Hospital, Hackensack, NJ. He also holds a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degree from S.S.G. Hospital in Baroda, India.
He is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. His specialty training includes interventional cardiology and nuclear studies.
He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association and North Carolina Medical Society. His languages are English, Hindi and Gujarati.
