About Zehra Husain Syed, MD
Dr. Husain Syed holds Board Certifications in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology and has a passion for patient care and makes it a priority to learn the latest achievements in all aspects of Interventional Cardiology including coronary and structural advancements.
She earned her medical degree at Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India, and completed her Residency, Chief Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, and Chief Cardiology Fellowship programs at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, Michigan. She completed her Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina and her Structural Heart Fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
She moved to North Carolina in 2014 from Michigan and lives with her Husband, Ali and 2 beautiful children Ammar and Minha. She loves visiting the coast of North Carolina with her family and traveling as much as she possibly can.
Dr. Husain Syed joined Cary Cardiology in 2022 and is currently accepting new patients.
When not in the hospital you can find Dr. Husain Syed in the garden section of Lowe’s, playing table tennis, or biking with her children.
She is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Telugu.
